2ndLt Elden W. Watts was born in 1923 in Oklahoma, to John Frederick Watts (1888-1966) and Irene June (Frederick) Watts (1890-1930), and had several siblings, including Ervin Wayne Watts (1914-1963), Trula Lorene (Watts) Norton (1919-1995), Lila June (Watts) LeCompte (1926-2010). The 1940 census shows John F. Watts, Freda Gertrude (Hamman) Campbell nee Watts (1898-1996), with Elden Watts, age 17 and Lila June Watts, age 12, living in Bellview, Curry County, New Mexico. He died 1 December 1943, 7th Bomber Group, Heavy, 436th Bomber Squadron. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

2ndLt John Elbridge McLauchlen Jr., born in 1918 in New Jersey, enlisted 22 July 1941, in Detroit, Michigan (enlisted service # 36123733). The 1930 census shows residence in Detroit, Michigan with John Elbridge McLauchlen (1884-1960) and Bertha L. (Tingley) McLauchlen (1888-1940) and three siblings: Janet R. McLauchlen (1914-1984), Richard Holmes McLauchlen (1921-1989), and Jessie Louise McLauchlen (1925-1968). He died 1 December 1943, 7th Bomber Group, Heavy, 436th Bomber Squadron.

2ndLt John Elbridge McLauchlen Jr., born in 1918 in New Jersey, enlisted 22 July 1941, in Detroit, Michigan (enlisted service # 36123733). The 1930 census shows residence in Detroit, Michigan with John Elbridge McLauchlen (1884-1960) and Bertha L. (Tingley) McLauchlen (1888-1940) and three siblings: Janet R. McLauchlen (1914-1984), Richard Holmes McLauchlen (1921-1989), and Jessie Louise McLauchlen (1925-1968). He died 1 December 1943, in the crash of the B-24J in Burma, assigned to the 7th Bomber Group, Heavy, 436th Bomber Squadron.
