On 14 December 1944, a B-29, # 42-24726, assigned to 20th Air Force, 40th Bomb Group, 25th Bomb Squadron, departed the airfield at Chakulia, India, on its 20th bombing mission, over Bangkok, Siam (Thailand), and Rangoon, Burma. It did not return.
