And Mrs. Harry Melton of Brooklyn, NY, received word that their son, Col. Harry R. Melton Jr. of the USAAF has been missing in action in the India-Burma area since Nov. 29. Col. Melton (Sr.) is Port of Embarkation surgeon. His wife and daughter live in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Children of officers were entertained at the Army Officers’ Wives club at the Army and Navy Club with a Christmas party. Santa Claus distributed gifts. Mrs. Harry R. Melton Jr. was in charge of arrangements.
